A quad bunk for sleepovers in
a Georgian stable block.
Our client approached us with a clear vision — to create a 4-way Quad Bunk for their two young children to share with friends and cousins during some epic sleepovers.
The goal was to design a piece that would inspire both imagination and relaxation, maximise space and blend seamlessly with the high-end finish throughout the rest of the home.
The room had high, sloping ceilings and with lots of quirky angles and charm. The site survey mapped the space with laser measuring devices to give a set of millimetre perfect plans within which to work and I spent some time with the clients discussing the project’s aims.
The home was a refurbished Georgian stable block and from very early on I wanted to a nod to this previous function. My first sketches were a large, chunky framework into which the beds would slot.
And so to the build.
Things like drawers and the staircase components were pre-built in the workshop (something we now try to do as often as possible to minimise on-site time and disruption).
I spent 4 days on site which included removing (and relocating) the existing fitted wardrobes. The parts were delivered, assembled and seamlessly fitted into the complicated space.

The result was a one-of-a-kind, quality, Quad Bunk, with under-bed and in-staircase drawers for storage and a space which the kids (and their friends/cousins) adore and will love to create memories in for years to come.

And then it was done.
A really great project for a really great set of customers was handed over. An engaging back and forth during the design phase with good ideas on all sides, a beautiful home into which to place a little extra beauty of our own and a showstopper of a bunk for the portfolio.
